Following a sharp rise in the price of cement by 70 percent in some Indian states, the Confederation of Indian Property Developers’ Unions plans to import cement from Iran, Korea and other countries in the absence of a crackdown on price rises.
According to Financial Express, the Confederation of Indian Property Development Unions, which announced that Indian cement manufacturers have been increasing artificially and 60 and 70 percent in some states, intends to keep it intact if it is not inhibited. A sharp rise in the price of cement is to import cement from Iran, Korea and other countries.
Confederations, announcing that rising cement prices could lead to rising construction costs, has urged state governments to raise the price of cement unrealistically.
